The cathedral was built by Jaime I. Construction began back in the 13th century.

Built in gothic style, this elegant structure has high arches and massive columns. Inside, there’s a museum and some fascinating tombs. Jaime I and Jaime III of Mallorca are buried here. The cathedral is closed on Sundays and holidays.

Just beside cathedral is the Palau de l’Almudaina. During the middle ages, this was the Royal residence. Nowadays, it’s home to a very interesting museum - well worth a visit.

Close by is the Parc de la Mar with beautiful fountains and sculptures; a great place to relax.
