Castell de Bellver is an absolute must see. It’s the only castle in Spain that is totally circular in design. It was built back in 1309.
Initially the castle was used as a summer royal residence. Later, it was turned into a prison; you can still see the graffiti on the walls, carved by French prisoners of war.
Castell de Bellver also houses the principal museum and is often used for concerts.
The castle is closed on Sundays and public holidays. There’s a small admission charge.
